Tan Keng Boon - Managing Partner
Mr. Tan has overall responsibility for SEAVI Advent's investment activities in the Asia Pacific region. He has sponsored, led or co-led investments in over 80 companies and is a Director of Ho Bee Investment Ltd, and Engro Corporation Limited. Mr. Tan has served as Managing Director of South East Asia Venture Investment (SEAVI) since 1985 and assumed his current role since 1996. He was previously co-founder and General Manager of Semicon Industries and earlier worked for DBS Bank and Esso Singapore. Mr. Tan received a Bachelor of Engineering degree and a diploma in Business Administration from the University of Singapore. |
Derrick Lee - Managing Partner
Mr. Lee has co-responsibility for SEAVI Advent's Asia Pacific investment activities. He has led or co-led investments in 23 companies and sits on the board of several investee companies. He has been affiliated with SEAVI Advent since its inception. In 1984, he joined SEAVI as Senior Vice President, responsible for investments in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. Previously, he was the Financial Controller of a leading dairy products manufacturer in the region and was an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Lee is a graduate of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Institute of Administrative Management. |

Hoe Boon Kwee - Partner / Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Hoe is responsible for the financial administration of Seavi Advent's investment operations. He joined SEAVI in 1989 and previously worked in the internal audit department of Inchcape Bhd., where he advanced to the position of Finance Manager of an Inchcape subsidiary, overseeing financial, accounting and administrative functions. Prior to Inchcape, he spent several years with Coopers & Lybrand in Singapore, where he gained experience in corporate auditing. Mr. Hoe is a graduate of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants in England and is a Certified Public Accountant in Singapore. |
Teo Yi-Dar - Partner
Mr. Teo joined SEAVI Advent in 1999 to support its investment activities in SE Asia and Greater China. Prior to SEAVI Advent, he worked as an engineer for SGS-Thomson Microelectronics. His investment focus is on the electronics, engineering and technology sectors. He is currently a director with Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (Holdings) Limited and SunVic Chemical Holdings Ltd. Mr. Teo received a Bachelor of Engineering degree, with honors, a MSc in Industrial and Systems Engineering, and a Master's in Applied Finance from the National University of Singapore. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst. |

Kevin Chan - Partner
Mr. Chan is head of SEAVI Advent's technology and communications investment activity in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to this, he specialized in telecom and Internet investment banking in Asia. He most recently served as an Associate Director of HSBC, where he co-founded its telecom/Internet practice, and earlier worked at Goldman Sachs. Before business school, he spent four years as a network engineer at NYNEX in New York and two years as a network operations manager at a European start-up funded by Millicom International Cellular. Mr. Chan received an MA in Engineering from Cambridge University, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. |
Henry Yao Wei Min – Partner
Mr. Yao joined SEAVI Advent in January 2005 focusing on China related investment activities. Prior to SEAVI Advent, he helped Vertex Management to set up its Shanghai operations in 2001. With Vertex, he was involved with portfolio companies such as NewTone, Linktone (Nasdaq: LTON) and SMIC (NYSE: SMI). Prior to Vertex, he was a management consultant with Coopers and Lybrand (now PwC). He was a CAD/CAM engineer with SanTeh Group (acquired by ITT) in early 90's. Mr. Yao received a Bachelor of Materials Science from Shanghai Jiaotong University, and a MBA from CEIBS in 1998. |
